Thank you for signing this petition and joining our fight to protect the well-being of kids by restricting commercialized gambling advertising, marketing, and sponsorships, especially in sports. Just like government does to protect young people from other known dangerous and addictive products like opioids and tobacco.

To safeguard the health and well-being of kids, Congress needs to implement reforms that:

• Restrict all gambling advertising and marketing like we do for other known dangerous and addictive products like opioids and tobacco, on the internet, streaming platforms, TV, radio, sporting venues, and point-of-sale locations like convenience stores and gas stations.
• Restrict all forms of gambling promotions and inducements offered to citizens to start gambling, to keep them gambling, or to lure them to start gambling after they have stopped. This includes restrictions on all forms of “free bets” and “welcome bonuses.”
• Restrict all gambling sponsorship of sports team uniforms, college and professional sports teams, and any venue where contests take place such as stadiums, arenas, etc.
• Restrict “loot boxes” and other elements of commercialized gambling that are currently being engineered into video games that kids under 18 are playing.
